中國華僑歷史博物館藏品徵集啟事

中國華僑歷史博物館是中華全國歸國華僑聯合會直屬的事業單位,是收藏、保護、研究和展示華僑華人歷史文化及其見證物的國家級博物館。為了充分展示華僑華人、歸僑僑眷的奮鬥歷程,展示廣大華僑華人對住在國與祖(籍)國的社會發展做出的重要貢獻,以科學保護、合理利用華僑歷史文化遺產為目標,促進中國與世界各國的文化交流,中國華僑歷史博物館現面向海內外長期徵集藏品及其相關線索。
一、徵集範圍
(一)物品、資料
1.海內外僑團僑領,華文學校、華文媒體等組織及其領導人物,以及社會各界傑出華僑華人、歸僑僑眷的物品和資料(如會旗、章程、照片、題字、課本和報刊等)。
2.華僑華人創作或收藏的珍貴書籍、字畫、藝術品及家譜、家書等物品和資料。
3.反映華僑華人支援祖(籍)國革命與家鄉建設,以及對住在國的經濟繁榮、社會進步做出貢獻的物品和資料(如獎狀、獎盃、勳章、僑批、國債券等)。
4.反映華僑華人在各個歷史時期的社會生產與生活中的代表性物品和資料(如貨幣、郵品、服飾、傢俱、工藝品和農、工、商等行業生產用具及產品等)。
5.與華僑華人、歸僑僑眷有關的其它物品和資料。
(二)非物質文化遺產 
華僑華人世代相傳的各種中外傳統文化表現形式,以及與之相關的實物(如傳統的藝術、技法、飲食、醫藥、禮儀、娛樂、口頭文學等)。
(三)音像資料
1.凡是反映各個歷史時期及重大事件中的華僑華人和僑團組織的音像資料均在本館徵集範圍之內。
2.本館還將對華僑華人和歸僑僑眷中的代表人物和重大事件親歷者進行口述歷史採訪。
二、徵集方式
(一)捐贈
本館將向捐贈者頒發榮譽證書或收藏證書,捐贈藏品展出時,在展品文字說明中注捐贈者姓名。
(二)複製
如以複製件形式捐贈,本館與物品所有者協商進行複製。
(三)借展
單位或個人自願將收藏的物品借與本館展覽的,本館與其簽訂借展協議。
(四)寄存託管 
單位或個人自願將收藏的物品委託本館保管和展覽的,本館與其簽訂寄存託管協定,無償為其進行科學保護和合理利用。 
(五)收購 
對單位或個人合法所有的藏品,在所有者自願出售的前提下,經鑒定後進行有償收購。

Call for Memorabilia to Benefit the Collection of the Overseas Chinese History Museum of China
 
The Overseas Chinese History Museum of China is a national museum affiliated to the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, dedicated to the collection, preservation, study and exhibition of items that bear witness to the culture and history of the overseas Chinese. It attempts to depict as fully as possible the valiant struggles of overseas Chinese and returned overseas Chinese and the significant contribution they have made to the progress of their country of residence and their ancestral homeland, and to furthermore promote cultural exchanges between China and other countries in the world by protecting and displaying the cultural heritage of overseas Chinese. To this end, we hereby issue a standing call for memorabilia and clues to them whether at home or abroad.
1. What we are looking for
A. Tangible objects
Objects or material that have belonged to or depict institutions such as overseas Chinese societies, prominent persons, Chinese schools, Chinese media and their leading figures, as well as outstanding Chinese overseas whether of Chinese citizenship or not, returned overseas Chinese and the families of the above that may come from different walks of life within China or abroad (i.e. flags, banners, charters, regulations, photographs, inscriptions, textbooks, newspapers, publications, etc.).
Significant books, calligraphy, paintings, artifacts, genealogies, family letters, etc., done or kept by overseas Chinese.
Objects or material that reflect the contribution by overseas Chinese to the Chinese revolution and building up of China as well as to the economic prosperity and social progress of their country of residence (i.e. certificates of awards, trophies, medals of honor, badges, documentation of overseas remittance, state bonds, etc.).
Objects and material that typically mirror the productive labor and life of overseas Chinese in different historical periods (i.e. coins, paper money, postal items, clothing, personal adornments, furniture, artifacts, as well as tools or equipment used in agricultural, industrial or other types of production or in commerce and the products that resulted from such activities, etc.).
Other objects or material related to Chinese overseas whether of Chinese citizenship or not, returned overseas Chinese and the families of the above.
B. Intangible cultural heritage manifestations
Traditional Chinese or foreign forms of culture and their material manifestations handed down from generation to generation by Chinese overseas (i.e. traditional art, skills, food, beverages, medicines, medical treatments, ceremonies, customs, forms of play and entertainment, oral literature, etc.).
Audio-visual material
Any audio-visual material that depicts Chinese overseas, whether of Chinese citizenship or not and their institutions during any historical period or major event.
The museum wishes to make recordings of oral history by interviewing representative individuals and witnesses of major events concerning overseas Chinese, returned overseas Chinese or their families.
How you can help
A. Donate 
A certificate of honor or certificate of collection received will be issued to the donor, the donor’s name will also be indicated in the title of the exhibit when it is displayed.
Allow reproduction
In the event that the original cannot be acquired, donation of a reproduction of the original with the consent of the owner will also be welcome.
Loan
A loan agreement can be signed between the museum and the owner if the latter wishes to lend an item to the museum for display.
Put in custody
A custody agreement between the museum and the owner can be signed if the owner wishes to entrust items to the museum for conservation and display. The museum will provide gratuitous preservation of such items and put them to good use.
Sell to the museum
The museum is willing to purchase after appraisal legally owned collections from institutions or individuals, providing the owner is willing to sell.
